Device gets extremely hot

Device gets hot and drain battery really quick while playing over smb Start to happen since last update

Solid file transfers

Slightly clunky, but pretty solids and able to move lots of files smoothly.

Needs Windows SMB2 and SMB3 support!

For many purposes, this app is great. The UI is nice and easy to use. However when it comes to connecting to Windows-based file shares using the SMB protocol, it is severly lacking. This app is only compatible with the SMB1/CIFS protocol which dates to the Windows XP/Windows Server 2003 era. SMB1 is old, flawed, and has high security risks. Everyone says to disable supporting this protocol on all Windows computers and servers. This app really needs to be able to connect to more modern SMB versions such as SMB2 at the very least which dates to Windows Vista. Access to Windows 10/Windows Server 2016 versions of SMB3.1.1 would be the best, but Im not sure how hard that would be to implement. If this app uses SAMBA to connecto to SMB shares, please implement the latest version which is SAMBA 4.6.7.

Outstanding!

Ive been using the free version for quite some time and was so impressed that I decided to support the developer. Its quick, plays content seamlessly and works flawlessly. I primarily use it to view files on my PC. Best $4.99 I think Ive ever spent.

Light weight!

This is definitely my favorite file browser. Are used to use FileBrowser but for some reason it took up a ton of space and became really slow. FileExplorer is 1000 times better and is my new go to for watching movies on my network hard drive. A great app! I hope they continue to develop it!

Not useful

This app cant see my USB drive or any files on my iPad

Perfunctory Man

This is definitely a five star application to me, by definition. What that means is another matter altogether.

Very nice App -- excellent!!!

Extremely useful for viewing and managing data file among devices and computers, and the cloud. Very much worth the money! Have found this to be a very useful app for viewing and storing files on my devices. I view it as essential. Very reliable!

Tut, was es soll! Sehr praktisch!

Prima!

Awesome

Only lacking thumbnails for smb videos

Does what it says new versions improve speed

This app works great. I can access my network file server contents no problem. FTP works great. Great job guys Never failed me yet. Fast flexible easy to use. I wish all software was this good

Brilliant app that makes it easier to access and manage files from various devices in one place.

Streamlined the management of my files and especially my photos across devices. I am very happy with the app.

Please, Please put back the counter when viewing photos

This app is great for viewing photos which is what I mainly use it for. However in this new version, the 3 of 63 counter is gone, dont know why it was removed, theres obviously room to put it on there. Now that its not on there I dont know how many photos are left to view while sliding.

Decent

Pretty good. Needs thumbnails for video files on network.

Awesome app does exactly what it says

One of the few apps Ive downloaded ever that does exactly what it claims to do. Easy to use. Fast. Highly recommended.

Does support Windows 10

UPDATE 6/28/17: This app is so frigging useful, I feel I have to spice up my review every once in a while. Keep it fresh. So in response to the reviewer who says it doesnt work with Windows 10, I can say it works perfectly with my Windows 10 desktop, as it did with my Surface Pro II before that. Well, almost perfectly. Im not sure if its a limitation of Windows SMB, but I cannot access the two external hard drives that are connected to my desktop via USB, just the C drive. I instantly get an error message. I use the term "instantly" in that last sentence not to exaggerate a problem but to segway into mentioning another great thing about the app. File access through SMB is near instantaneous. I do love my Readdle apps, but their otherwise awesome file management system takes forever to initialize when connecting this way. Even when the "premature basic authorization" is enabled, I wait 20-30 seconds for the files to show up. File Explorer has no such delay. Or it does but its more like a second, and less like warming up a frozen bagel in the microwave. OLD: For a long time, this app was the best only because there was (shockingly) nothing else out there did what this app does. There is still nothing out there, but WWith the latest round of refinements I can say its the best because its a well-rounded, easy-to-use, versatile, functional, polished piece of software. Heres to looking forward to the next update.

Best app ever

Thank you so much

Access Windows server with ease.

Great App I use this with my Windows 10 home network and it is fast. Love Love Love it.

A must have

app delivers even the unexpected.

Best app I ever paid for

Ive been using File Explorer Pro for at least two years now, across multiple iOS and Windows and NAS devices in my home network, for file organization/management/transfer, as well as music listening and video watching, and as I used it today to once again enjoy my NAS-stored copy of my iTunes Library of Sgt. Pepper, I decided it was high time I paid the developer a compliment with a good review. This app is without a doubt the best value for the money that I have ever spent on an app. Recommended without inducement or hesitation from a grateful user.
